Multiple Projects Roof Replacement Design: Pratt & Whitney

In July 2005, we were retained by Johns Manville Corporation to assist with several roof replacement project designs at the Pratt & Whitney facility located in East Hartford, Connecticut. These projects encompassed more than 575,000 square feet of roof area across multiple facilities, including the “J” Building, the “M” Building, the Executive Parking Garage, the OBE Office Building, and Building 110 at the Pratt & Whitney Middletown facility.

All roof replacement designs were completed prior to the end of August 2005. Following completion of the design phase, the projects were bid and subsequently awarded to local roofing contractors operating within the East Hartford geographic area.

Since that time, we have continued to provide roof design and related professional services for numerous additional projects at Pratt & Whitney. We are currently engaged in the design of a roof system replacement for the “C” Factory, which alone encompasses more than 300,000 square feet of roof area. Altogether, over the past two years, we have provided design services for roofing projects with a total construction value exceeding $10 million.
