Executive Vice President & Senior Roofing Consultant
W. Daniel Sanders is the Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Roof Consulting Services, bringing 19 years of comprehensive roofing consulting experience to every project. He works closely with clients from initial proposal through final report delivery, managing the full lifecycle of consulting engagements for some of the country’s most demanding commercial property owners.
Daniel’s primary clientele includes real estate investment trust (REIT) companies that hold open-air retail facilities, utility and power grid suppliers, industrial facilities, banking institutions, and local governments. As a FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot, he also oversees drone-based roof inspections — extending RCS’s capabilities to structures that are difficult or unsafe to access by traditional means. He regularly performs infrared and nuclear non-destructive moisture inspections and develops roof system replacement specifications and bid documents.
Daniel’s philosophy centers on long-term return on investment for clients — preemptively designing the right roof assembly, monitoring routine maintenance that is commonly overlooked, and providing oversight throughout the full service life cycle. His success metric is simple: steering the client to the most cost-effective route to meet the requirements and goals of their facility.

The roof system is one of the largest expenses that a commercial building Owner typically faces. Our goal is to provide Owners with concise, non-biased information to allow them to make the most informed and cost-effective decisions regarding their facilities. Implementing a preventative maintenance inspection program during early stages of a commercial roof’s lifecycle can not only potentially extend the life of the roof but will also reduce large repair expenditures throughout that time. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, catching issues early mitigates the extent of repair necessary or potential premature failure of the roof system.
